Thank you for allowing your child to join our family! We are extremely excited about helping our children expand their understanding of sportsmanship through team athletics, cheer, and dance!
As their coaches, our first emphasis will be on what we call the FUNdamentals. We will work with your child to develop and improve their skills and hopefully have a lot of FUN learning together.
We expect our athletes, parents, coaches, and volunteers to be respectful at all times. That means showing patience and kindness to wards the coaches, fellow players, opponents, officials, other squads and anyone they come into contact with throughout the season.
We believe it is important to develop an early understanding of sportsmanship and teamwork. Our focus is to TEACH... NOT WIN. Sometimes we will win, and sometimes we will lose, but we will ALWAYS do it as a team.
If you share this philosophy, we welcome you to join us and we encourage you to discuss and emphasize these concepts with your athlete throughout the season.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Practice and Schedules
SUMMER SCHEDULE - Practices will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday - Friday ( if weather permits)
IN SCHOOL SCHEDULE - Practices will be held from 6:00pm-7:30pm on Monday - Tuesday & Thursday ( if weather permits) No practice on Wednesday.
PRACTICES WILL BE HELD @ Southwest Middle School ( 6030 Ogeechee Rd. , Savannah, GA 31419 )
There will be multiple Fundraisers throughout the season and participation is required by both the athlete and their parents. Most fundraising activities will occur on Saturday mornings.
A FUNDRAISER SCHEDULE WILL BE RELEASED SOON!!!!
SEASON BEGINS SEPTEMBER 11TH
ALL GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON FRIDAY NIGHTS or SATURDAYS AFTERNOONS. There will be some travel required to our away games.
There will be NO GAMES on Saturday October 16th for Savannah State Homecoming. WE WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE PARADE.
ONLY AGES (13-18) FOR FOOTBALL, CHEER & MAJORETTE DANCE:
Please complete our brief survey questions to help us prepare for our upcoming season. We're also looking for volunteers to help at practices, fundraisers and at home games. With your help, we'll create a great season for our athletes!
Water/Refreshments- Water will be provided during practices. If you like, you're more than welcome to bring a personal water bottle or healthy snack for the athlete or their team.

All fees are non-refundable and can be paid now, or by the deadline of JULY 26th.
Team Fee's may be paid in CASH, CHECK or MONEY ORDER to The Southwest Georgetown Youth Organization.
If you need to PAY with a Debit or Credit Card we can forward you the PayPal, Cash App. or Venmo link with a Service Charge of $5.50.
